Remnants of a Story Told
I just completed a piece for my drawing class. I chose to document the process of telling a story by applying food coloring to my lips and speaking the story onto a Mulberry rice paper. Each mouth print is a separate word in the story and each color corresponds to a different character speaking. I then traced my silhouette to scale over the mouth prints to imply more of the human presence and movement involved in the piece. The story I told was Rumpelstiltskin.
