camp
Today we wrapped up another week of art camp at the Springfield Art Association. This week's group of "Wee Warhols" ranged from kindergarten to second grade with a total of fifty-one students. Pictured above are two of my favorite canvas paintings of the week, an acrylic landscape project with an emphasis on depth and horizon line. We also collaged like crazy, using hand-beaten dyed kozo, stained coffee filters, and hand-marbled papers that we created during the sessions.
Tonight, or rather early tomorrow morning, there's a lunar eclipse. I'll be setting my alarm at 4:45 am on my day off. It had better be awesome. I'm also looking forward to working on some painting projects of my own this weekend, and celebrating Emma Goldman's birthday on Sunday with Thai food, friends and Andrew Jackson Jihad at Black Sheep Cafe.
Happy Weekend!
