An Unusual Forest

Silk Screening and Thiox
This is a wall hanging piece that I finally completed, printed on black rayon. I silk screened a forest of stinkhorn mushrooms (for details, see October 4th's entry) using thiox, and then heat activating the discharge at varying intensities. Once I had discharge my forest, I went back in and hand painted the mushroom caps and stalks in the first row orange. I really love the sense of atmospheric perspective I accomplished, as well as the slightly overwhelming sense of mystery.
