art camp

Last week was "Wet & Wild" week at art camp! We created all things water inspired and learned many new skills that included water in the process. Among my favorites were the fantasy submarine pastel drawings, the rubber fish prints on hand made paper and the paper mache jellyfish. We also learned how to felt while making octopi and turned pinch pots into (hilarious) guppies! It was fun to expose them to techniques that they probably wouldn't experience in their grade school art class, and to be able to play the same Beatles songs on repeat for hours.
