ritual

I've been coveting a Tetsubin cast iron teapot for quite a while now. After hours of online browsing I finally found the perfect one. Making tea with it is so wonderful. It's so nice just to be able to take a few quiet moments to slow down and enjoy what you're doing. The cast iron actually keeps your tea warm for hours! These teapots are traditionally made in Japan and part of elaborate tea ceremonies and cultural rituals.

This afternoon I steeped a strawberry pu-erh oolong blend. With bits of mint, hibiscus and apples thrown in the mix as well, it proved to be most revitalizing and relaxing.
