Tomorrow is Friday, the end of week one at art camp. I thought I'd share some pictures of the experience, although these photos were taken in the calm after the storm. We have a lot of flower pickers at camp, and the post snack round up usually yields multiple tiny clover bouquets and promises to keep them until parents arrive. My favorite project this week was the tiny paper mache hot air balloons. One of our studio walls was also converted into a chalkboard by mixing un-sanded tile grout in with the paint. At first I was pretty horrified by the color choice, but once I saw it double coated and ready for action I actually kind of liked it. Next week we have Kindergarten through second grade for a camp called "Let's Make a Mess". If the pictured smock is any kind of indication, it's going to be a wild week.
