Today Brandon and I went to pick our own strawberries at Eckert's Orchard in Belleville, Illinois. Neither of us had ever picked them ourselves before, so the pilgrimage was well worth it. There were so many rows and they were only $2.07 a pound! On our way in we saw a little boy come out with red strawberry juice all over his face. It was the most perfect day for berry picking. We are talking about possibly making strawberry sorbet tonight; hopefully there will be a follow up post!
