I purchased a bag of fleece from the farm I visited yesterday. This fiber is from an alpaca named Akira. The two bags that you see in the first picture divide the two different grades of fiber. First grade fiber is from around the alpacas mid-section and is the softest and cleanest. Second grade fiber comes from the surrounding areas and is a little coarser, but still suitable for spinning.
